Kvaser Technical Associate, Warwick Control Technologies, has released the CAN CAN FD LIN Simulation Kit, a new package that pairs Warwick Control’s X-Analyser network analysis software with the Kvaser Hybrid Pro for device/network simulation, including SAE J1939, NMEA2000 and CANopen higher layer protocol simulation.Â
The Kvaser Hybrid’s two channels can be mapped to X-Analyser in any combination of these network protocols, making it a versatile and cost-effective toolset for testing CAN, CAN FD and LIN systems. It is also possible to simulate CAN and CAN FD networks on one interface channel using the Kvaser t-script programming language, whilst conducting network monitoring in X-Analyser on the other channel.Â
Kvaser’s TRX IDE has a t-script compiler and a console in which status messages can be fed back by language commands such as printf. Programming examples, such as how to integrate CANdb files and control the LEDs on the Kvaser Memorator, come with the kit but Warwick Control also provides a t-programming course for those needing help to unleash the power of their Kvaser Pro interfaces!
The kit comprises:
