The modern automotive engineer is used to switching between protocols. One moment, you’re working on the climate control system over the LIN protocol – the next moment, you’re working on the braking system over the CAN protocol. But, while this used to mean switching devices as you switched protocols, the Kvaser Hybrid Pro 2xCAN/LIN provides a compact solution for automotive engineers working with CAN and LIN communication networks in development, production, through to field-use in one device.Â
Designed to make life easier for automotive engineers, this dual-channel interface allows each channel to be independently configured as CAN/LIN, CAN/CAN or LIN/LIN. It also sports a number of advanced features designed to increase efficiency and reduce errors, including Silent Mode, Single Shot, Error Frame Generation and Kvaser MagiSync automatic clock synchronization.
The Hybrid Pro 2xCAN/LIN is fully compatible with J1939, CANopen, NMEA 2000, DeviceNet and Kvaser’s universal API.
Users can even customize the device’s behavior by writing programs in Kvaser’s t programming language.
