Kvaser’s September 2022 Software Release

sep software release

Kvaser’s latest software update provides even-handed support for Python, Linux and Windows; plus new and older interface models.

Notable changes and additions include:

Python CANlib package:
Used for auto transmit and auto response messages, object buffers have been added to Python CANlib V1.22.565.

Kvaser Drivers for Windows and CANlib SDK:
A potential security problem has been fixed in the driver in V5.40.102 whereby the path to the network enumerator or network scanner wasn’t quoted.

Kvaser Memorator Configuration Tool (Memorator 2nd gen. & Eagle)

A bug fix in V5.30.102 addresses conversion problems experienced when using multiple databases on different channels.

SocketCAN Drivers:
Our Linux implementation has been updated according to SocketCAN’s most recent release candidate (V1.12.682).

A fix is available in V1.9.322 for older M32C-based Leaf devices with a non-16MHz clock that were experiencing CAN clock frequency regression. The regression can cause invalid bit timing parameters, depending on user-requested parameters.
