Kvaser’s newest qualified sales representative is what’s hot in the US right now: a local, custom design and full-service engineering provider, capable of offering hardware and software design, prototyping, testing and medium to low volume manufacturing and assembly.
Started in 2007 and now with 16 full-time and many part-time employees, Detroit-based Novellus Engineering Services’ prime market is automotive, but clients also come from medical, mining, agriculture and automation domains, often seeking ground-up new product design.
CEO Jeffrey Gatrell recounts: “Customers can come to us with the briefest of outlines for a new product and we’ll provide the circuit design and layout through to medium to low-volume assembly. We are well-versed in all aspects of electronic design, including all relevant communications technologies, such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, USB, RS232, SENT and wireless. As one of the most stable and inexpensive of technologies, we use CAN/CAN FD in many projects and it made sense to offer Kvaser interfaces among our third-party product portfolio. We rely on Kvaser tools for our own CAN test work and consider them the best and most cost-effective solution for the job.”
Novellus has Tier One supplier status with Ford Motor Company, but Mr. Gatrell assures that all clients, large or small, receive the same care and attention-to-detail. The goal is a long-term relationship; the means to which is a highly personalised, cost-conscious service.
