Kvaser Arcus gains new Automotive Ethernet capabilities, including TC10 support

The new Kvaser CL Configuration Tool for Kvaser Arcus provides a cross-platform graphical user interface for Windows and Linux, enabling users to configure devices, adjust PHY settings, monitor device status, and set up automated test routines. The Kvaser CL API for Python supports scripting and integration with existing test environments, allowing developers to automate repetitive test setup and validation tasks. Kvaser is also releasing an updated version of the Kvaser CL SDK for developers building custom applications.
Together, these tools simplify device configuration, firmware updates, and PHY configuration, helping developers deploy and manage Kvaser Arcus devices more efficiently in development and test infrastructure. Setup is straightforward, with support for the native USB networking capabilities available in modern Windows and Linux systems.
To extend validation beyond configuration and setup, Kvaser Arcus now supports OPEN Alliance TC10 sleep/wake-up, enabling engineers to test Automotive Ethernet sleep and wake-up behavior, validate network power-management communication, and verify system behavior during development and integration.
“Kvaser Arcus is designed to simplify Automotive Ethernet development, from configuration to automated testing. With cross-platform tools, Python automation, and TC10 support, engineers can validate system behavior more efficiently and with greater confidence.” said Tobias Stalfors, CTO at Kvaser.
