ODOSOLUTIONS AB (ODOS), a developer of robust cloud-based data-logging devices, officially launched the Megalog datalogging series at Cenex Expo 2024 in the UK in September. The Megalog seeks to revolutionise CAN-FD (Controller Area Network Flexible Data) applications across industrial and heavy-duty sectors.
ODOS has collaborated with Kvaser on the Megalog, which incorporates the Kvaser M.2 PCIe 4xCAN, our advanced four-channel CAN-FD interface card. It also runs Kvaser’s latest CanKing 7 software for advanced research and development debugging on Windows and Linux, giving users the flexibility to switch between operating systems depending on their project needs.

With edge processing capabilities and an IP67 rating, the Megalog has been designed with a combination of big data and extreme durability in mind. Special features include a pressure equalization valve to prevent excessive pressure or vacuum build-up inside the sealed enclosure, and a built-in UPS for power management. This ensures continuous data capture even during power outages, electrical spikes, and interference from electrical noise.
