CAN Trace

CAN Trace allows you to view messages as they come across the bus. This is one of the most important Views available in CanKing and offers a bevy of features. Lists of messages can be arranged by time received, identifier, flags or DLC. The window can be further filtered by only showing a trace of a specific channel in the measurement by clicking the Channel drop-down menu. Similarly, the trace can filter just the received or transmitted messages.

Besides the ability to pause and clear the message trace, you can click the Fixed Position button to lock messages by ID. When in Fixed Position mode with a DBC file in the measurement, clicking the drop-down arrow will show further information based on the database.
