Additional Targets

One of the more advanced features of CanKing 7 is the ability to log messages. To do this, click the Target drop-down menu to select CAN Message Logger and a configuration window will appear.

After selecting a file type, set the writing instructions with the radial button below and whether or not the logger should restart when stopped.

Triggers
Triggers can be set to alter when messages are logged. While the default is for the logger to trigger on start of measurement, a timer set in milliseconds can be configured, or even for the logger to trigger on receiving a specific message or signal value. These same options are also available for when to trigger the logger to stop measuring.
