Innovative Control System Toolchain brings together New Eagle and Kvaser

Kvaser is pleased to highlight the latest innovation from  New Eagle, in which Kvaser’s CAN devices play a role. This collaboration brings together the newly announced John Deere Electronics versatile and reliable M Series Controllers with New Eagle’s Raptor® software, combining rugged hardware with advanced software to streamline development and reduce costs for M Series users.

John Deere electronic controls are designed for a range of mobile applications, including diesel and gas engines, hydraulic control systems, cab/body controls, power distribution systems, powertrain controls, implement controls, and lighting controls. The M Series Controllers are built to withstand extreme conditions and offer high current outputs with multiple combinations of CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.

New Eagle’s Raptor software, based on embedded Model-Based Design (eMBD™), provides a flexible development environment for production hardware. The integration allows customers to create control software for OEM-level ruggedized hardware in a fraction of the time typically required while meeting stringent automotive-grade requirements and adhering to the highest functional safety and cybersecurity standards. New Eagle supplies an OEM version of the Kvaser Leaf Light CAN to USB interface with every Raptor license. The New Eagle Leaf Light is used to download auto-generated C-code from Raptor to the ECU under test or production ECU, and is supplied as part of the John Deere M Series and New Eagle Raptor toolchain.

Dwayne McKenzie, director of New Eagle, highlighted the benefits of this collaboration with Kvaser: “Our leading Raptor software solution combined with the high-quality controls hardware that John Deere is known for will unlock application potential across the on-highway and off-highway industries. Kvaser’s CAN interfaces ensure that this is a rugged toolchain from end-to-end.

Kvaser is proud to support this innovative partnership with New Eagle, which exemplifies a commitment to quality and innovation that drives progress in electronic control solutions.
