ATI and Kvaser: A Partnership in Precision and Performance

Accurate Technologies (ATI) exemplifies Kvaserโ€™s Technology Associate and Sales Representative relationship. With over 30 years of expertise in traditional powertrain technologyโ€”both ICE and hybridโ€”ATI serves the automotive and heavy-duty vehicle sectors with advanced control systems software and hardware tools. ATIโ€™s core offerings include the VISION ECU calibration and data acquisition suite, its associated VDA post-analysis tool and code rapid prototyping using the firmโ€™s patented No-Hooks technology. ATIโ€™s toolkits for engine monitoring, on-board diagnostics and more are widely used in the industry.

ATI Europe Regional Manager Michael Odรคlv highlights the value of ATIโ€™s local offices, which, like Kvaserโ€™s own subsidiaries, are located close to key customers to facilitate personalized and rapid support: โ€œIn Sweden, weโ€™re close to two major Swedish truck manufacturers, to whom we supply software and hardware, including Kvaser interfaces for CAN and LIN logging. Our task is to adapt to these customerโ€™s process needs and offer continually higher levels of integration.โ€

Tailoring products to meet specific customer demands is crucial, especially as those needs evolve. Among more recent developments, Odรคlv notes that hydrogen combustion conversions and hydrogen fuel cell projects are among the technologies prompting new demands on ATIโ€™s portfolio.

Both ATI and Kvaser share a commitment to long-term customer support and product reliability. โ€œIn some cases, staff turnover at our customers means that we know our customerโ€™s processes better than they do! In this way, we can provide a point of reference and continuity. Staff changes at the OEMs makes it challenging to build relationships with our user base, but it also emphasises our need to participate in streamlining and simplifying tools and processes to ensure that new engineers get up and running swiftly and smoothly.โ€

Engineering departments used to be silo-based, but now the trend is towards more toolchain integration and process simplification, reflecting greater collaboration between departments at ATIโ€™s customers. VISION has become a key tool in this shift. Users can easily convert files to and from VISION for data sharing or incorporate third-party hardware, enabling seamless integration into existing processes and tools. Additionally, the software-as-a-service subscription model allows licenses to be leased for specific durations and/or shared across sites.

ATIโ€™s focus on innovation, customer support, and seamless integration positions it as a key player in the automotive and heavy-duty vehicle sectors. With a comprehensive product portfolio and a strong commitment to personal service, ATI continues to provide essential tools and support to its global clientele.
