Bug in canlib python library
Dear Sirs and Madams,
I noticed that within the python library you provide the scaling of a signal (factor and offset) gets ignored when the there a enum definitions for the same signal as well. We’re using VW CAN dbc files and a hugh number of signal definitions uses these combination to define enum values for error and init values.
Is this behaviour intended? For us the library cannot used that way because even when we don’t want to the the enums the scaling is always [1.0, 0.0] and lead to wrong raw values on the CAN.
I hope that there is already a solution for that or that it can be fixed very soon.
Thanks and best regards
