Seasonal message from Martin Sventén

This has been a busy and exciting year, and we know we couldn’t have done it without the support of our partners. So rather than just share the headlines, we thought it would be nice to give you a behind the scenes look at what’s been happening. In this Q&A, Martin Sventen, CEO, talks openly about the highs, the challenges, and how working together with partners continues to shape where we’re headed next.

1.What excites you most about the industry right now?
There are many changes ongoing in the automotive industry and beyond. Change brings inevitable challenges but also opens the door to new opportunities. Connectivity today is no longer just about CANit is about bridging protocols, enabling smarter diagnostics, and developing open ecosystems. This creates possibilities to diversify our offering while staying true to our mission to advance connectivity. And it´s when it´s difficult that you sharpen how you operate and come out stronger.

2.Was there a moment when you thought, “This is why I love leading Kvaser”?
Whenever I see our staff trying hard and then getting appreciation from our customers for who we are, what we do and how our products work.

3. Which product launch or update made you most proud in 2025, and why?
I really must pick more than one highlight this yearThe Kvaser EDGEdeveloped over several years, now delivers something that really fits the future. The Kvaser Arcus – our first Automotive Ethernet product – represents an initial step, with much more to come. Meanwhile, though CanKing was released last year, this year we saw a big uptake in users. Hearing feedback from engineers who are finding it more powerful and intuitive is hugely rewarding. These all perfectly reflect our ambition to advance connectivity, and make it easier for customers and engineers, while opening the door to more solutions in the future.

4. What’s one product feature that customers might not realize was a big challenge to deliver?
Many things we do look easy or simple from the outside, and it’s difficult to imagine how much hard work goes intocreating a market-ready productThat’s the nature of our business. The Kvaser EDGE Linuxbased device is a great exampleIt’s unique architecture, new security concepts and easytouse environment have taken a lot of workExtensions and plug-ins for Kvaser CanKing were also a major undertakingproviding customization and integration potential that wasn’t possible before. Behind the scenes, it’s required deep architectural changes, but the vision was clear: give customers and partners the flexibility to build exactly what they need for their market and applications.

5. Was there a customer success story that really stuck with you?
There’s a few and I hope we can share them publicly soon!

6. Looking back on this year, how have partners influenced the way we innovate and deliver connectivity solutions, and what role do you see them playing in shaping the next chapter of our journey?
Since we have many partners that just like us are acting in a fast-evolving industry with increasing demands for both innovation and things like cyber security and compliance, we are inspired to work together even more to provide platforms for them to grow their business in their domain. We see more partners specializing in certain areas and that really influences us to make solutions so they can focus even more on their tasks.

Thanks for being part of our journey — we’re looking forward to seeing what we’ll create together in 2026!
