Transferring Configurations
Before downloading a configuration to the Memorator device, you should be in the habit of running a configuration check. In this configuration this step is not as important, but running a configuration check becomes very important when using triggers. To run a configuration check, select Target from the main menu, then select Check Configuration. The Check Configuration dialogue will appear. If there were trigger conditions that were not configured correctly, this dialogue would provide error information describing the problem. It also displays an overall configuration status. For our simple configuration, it should display, “Configuration Ok.” Configurations can also be saved locally to the computer so make sure to save configurations you use often to save time!
To use the configuration we just created, it must be downloaded to the Memorator device. This is done by pressing the download button. This button will replace the device’s current configuration with the new configuration. You will be notified that the download was successful by a temporary message in the status bar seen at the bottom of the application window. Another good habit is to verify the configuration has been correctly downloaded. Select Target again from the main menu and then select Verify. This will check the configuration in the Memorator device against the configuration currently loaded in the setup tool. A message box will appear stating the results of the comparison. At this point the Memorator device is configured for data logging.
